During my site evaluations, I presented two cases on vaginal bleeding, and one case on a stillborn delivery. We discussed the different kinds of abortions and what symptoms point to which differentials in the gynecologic setting. I also presented a journal article on the impact of advanced paternal age on fertility and risks of genetic disorders in offspring. This particularly interested me because there is a lot of discussion about advanced maternal age and the female biological clock, but not enough about advanced paternal age. We also discussed my drug cards and the most high yield facts for each drug that would be beneficial to remember for the PANCE. Because these were 1 to 1 evaluations, I was able to learn a lot from my site evaluator. Overall, I learned a lot about different obstetrics diagnoses and what appropriate workups are based on different chief complaints.
